I'm Kyle. For fifteen years I made my living on the street — mostly across the UK, but anywhere the light was doing something honest. Then I started shooting weddings, and realised they were the same job.
A wedding is a city block of weather and timing. Light moves, people move, the bride glances at the groom for half a second and the moment is gone. You either feel where it's going to land, or you don't. I think the years on the street taught me to feel it.
So I don't direct very much. I'll suggest a place, a wall, a window — and then I get out of the way and let the day actually happen. What you'll see in your gallery is your wedding the way it really was, not a list of poses we agreed to perform.
"Most wedding photographers are wedding photographers. I'm a street photographer who happens to love weddings."
I'm based in Leeds and shoot regularly across the wider UK. Destination weddings are a real love of mine — if the location matters to you, it matters to me, and I'll usually find a way. The work is always cinematic, often a little dark, and always made for couples who'd rather have something timeless than something on-trend.
I take on a small number of weddings a year. If yours sounds like a good fit, I'd love to hear about it.
